FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before you bring the cameras.
The details to check for portrait sessions, commercial shoots and productions.
What can we photograph or film at Amara?
The existing property offers a fountain garden, covered patio, ranch buildings and stables. Share the looks you need and arrange a scout to confirm access. Guest house interiors and animals are booked separately when approved.
What is the difference between a photo session and a production booking?
The proposed portrait session is two hours on the grounds for up to 30 people, with no event setup. Commercial shoots, larger crews and film or TV projects use the production rate structure. Describe your shoot so the team can quote the right type of booking.
Are a photographer, crew or equipment included?
No photographer, crew, lighting or camera equipment is listed in the venue rates. Bring your own creative team and agree equipment access, setup and power needs with the property.
How are production rates calculated?
The proposed rates vary by shoot type and crew size. Interior access, animals, preparation days and strike days can add to the cost. Send your full schedule and requirements for a written quote; displayed rates are awaiting owner approval.
Can we include the horses or other animals?
Ask in advance. Animal access, a handler and insurance arrangements must be approved for the shoot. Horses are proposed as a supervised photo backdrop; riding or unrestricted animal access is not included.
What should we verify during a location scout?
Check the looks you want, natural light, sound conditions, loading access, parking, restrooms and power. Wi-Fi, electrical capacity and studio-zone status are not yet verified, so confirm anything the production depends on.
Can we shoot inside the guest house?
Interior access is a proposed add-on and must be agreed separately. Confirm the rooms you need, furniture arrangements and any holding or getting-ready use before booking.
Who arranges permits and insurance?
The production is responsible for arranging any required permits and insurance. Confirm the property’s requirements with the team before booking; a venue reservation should not be treated as permit approval.
How do we check dates or arrange a scout?
Send your preferred date, shoot type, crew size and equipment needs through the enquiry page. Add any preparation or strike time. The team will confirm availability and discuss a scout; submitting an enquiry does not reserve a date.
